Welcome to the Spirited Wellness blog!

As someone who is multipassionated, I’ll be posting on all sorts of topics! Everything from faith and Christianity, natural health and beauty, delicious foods, travel, creating a positive mindset and so much more! I hope you’ll follow along!

When preparing to write my first official blog post, I’ve gone back and forth and what I should write about. Do I just write a general “hello!” Do I do a big, lengthy post all about me and my life journey? Do I share my famous brownie recipe? So many options! I’ve decided on the following.

My best advice…

If you’re familiar with the “WHOA That’s Good Podcast” by Sadie Robertson, you know she starts every episode by asking her guests “what’s the best advice you’ve ever received?” I always loved that she asked that question and I love hearing what they have to say. There have been some great ones on there! It made me really think, what IS the best advice I have ever received?? I’m not sure where I heard this advice from but it’s something that has always stuck with me. It is…”to live your life as if…” Sounds basic, I know. But think about it! It truly applies to all areas of your life! I have found that by living by this phrase, anything is possible as it feels as though it’s already happening! Trust me on this! Start using this today and you will see some amazing things happen! Let me explain further and give you some examples.

Take your career for one example. Are you where you want to be? Or are you settling for something less than what you want? You can choose to settle, or you can be proactive! If you start acting and believing as though you have achieved your ultimate career you are more likely to see it happen! How? What does that person with your dream career do differently than you are now? It’s likely they are networking with like-minded people, continuing to educate themselves in their field of work, going to events within that industry and probably handing out business cards with their professional title on it. Are you? Why not? Start living as though today!

Another great example is your wellness goals. Are you where you want to be? Or are you dreaming and hoping for the one magic fix that will miraculously make it happen for you overnight? Let me assure you, that’s not going to happen. But you CAN! Imagine yourself at your ultimate goal. What does that look like? What does it feel like? What kind of lifestyle would you be living? Do it NOW. You do not have to wait to get fit and healthy before you live that lifestyle. Infact, that won’t work. You have to live as though right now! Does that dream person in your future exercise daily? Do it! You may not be where you want to be, but you can start! Does that person avoid fast food? Avoid it! Does that person attend fitness classes? Sign up today! Does that person get a solid night’s sleep? Commit to a bedtime. Does that person drink water every day? Start adding it in! Start living as though you are that person today!

One more example is growing your relationship with God. Do you envy those who seem to have a strong connection with the Lord? Do you desire that happiness and unwavering faith they seem to have? You can have it too! It all starts with living your life as if! What does that person do? Pray daily? Attend a Bible study? Go to church? Watch sermons online? Read a devotional? Read the Bible? Connect with other Christians? Whatever this looks like for you, do it! You may not understand it all, most of us don’t! Just start by living as if and ask God to guide you. Before long, you’ll feel that relationship growing!

I could go on and on as the list of possibilities are endless here! Whatever it is that you dream to achieve, you can! Start living “as if” right now. Wishing won’t make things happen. Hoping won’t help. Settling or feeling down about your current situation won’t do any good. Be proactive and live your life as if! You won’t be disappointed!

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Much love~Denette
